fully automated tank

米軍の女性兵士は今でも戦闘職種に就くことはできません。まー、現在の作戦においては、女性兵士は戦闘職種でなくても、前線でもけっこう活躍してますが。それはさておき…昔、私はその制限を十分理解せずに、戦車に乗りたくて軍隊に入ったんですが、もちろん戦車隊は無理でした。(^^;

The unit I really wanted to be in.
US female military personnel cannot be in combat arms. But in recent operations, even though females aren't in combat arms, many of them are doing a great job up in the front lines. That aside... A while back, I wasn't familiar enough with that restriction, so I joined the military, hoping to ride my favorite tanks, but that never happened. (^^;

As a result, I ended up in combart arms support, specifically an NBC Defense Specialist (my secondary specialty was Japanese translator), but when I participated in exercises and training, I hopped on tanks and armored vehicles at every opportunity and took pics. Also, our NBC unit's FOX vehicle is pretty darn cool. Though it doesn't have caterpillars, it can swim well. And unlike the other armored vehicles, it pushes out contaminated air with its overpressure air conditioner. We didn't break a sweat during scorching summer exercises. (^_^)b

Though I coudn't get into an armor unit, I had lots of fun in the military. (^o^)
