大晦日出勤。

今日はどうしてもやらなきゃいけない仕事があったんで、出勤しました。大晦日だし、早く帰らせてくれるだろうなと思ってたら、直の上司がお昼頃、私の部屋に顔出して「なんか、（上層部に）俺帰って良いって言われたんで、お先に」と、上機嫌でさっさと帰りました。(*_*)

私は「あ、ハイ、そうですか」と一旦答えて作業に戻ったけど…考えてみたら、普通、上司が早退許可もらったら、その上司は下の者も同じく開放してくれない？放置プレイするなんて、明らかに自分しか考えてない上司の行動ですよねぇ。私は早く帰れるの、帰れないの…どっち？(>_<)

しかたなく、同僚と一緒にわざわざ上層部に確認しました。もちろん早退許可もらえたけど、逆に上の人は「君らの上司から早退許可のこと聞いてないの？」と聞かれ、「いえ、全然。何も言わず、自分だけ先に帰りましたよ」と答えた。聞くところによると、他の部署は全員早退したんで、うちらは完全に取り残されてたみたい。かなり後味の悪い仕事納めでした。(^^;

…まー何はともあれ、午後に早退して、家でゆっくりしながら正月を迎えました。(^_^)

Working on New Years Eve.
I went to work today, because I had to finish up some stuff. But since it's New Years Eve, right when I figured we'd be released early from work, my supervisor stuck his head in my office, said, "I was told (by my the big boss) that I can go home early, so I'll go," and left the office in a good mood. (*_*)

I responded, "Oh, okay, see you," but... come to think of it, if a supervisor is released early, shouldn't he let his subordinates go as well? From the way we were left behind, it's obvious that the supervisor only thinks of himself. So, can I go home early... or not? (>_<)

Just to be on the safe side, my co-worker and I checked with the big boss. Of course we were allowed to go home early as well, but the big boss inquired, "Didn't your supervisor tell you guys to go?" so we answered, "Nope. He didn't mention that (we could leave early) and just took off himself." It turns out that everyone in all the other sections were released early, so we were the only ones totally left behind. What a bitter way to wrap up the year at work. (^^;

...That aside, I left work by late afternoon, and relaxed at home to celebrate New Years. (^_^)
