サバイバル本、大好き。

子供の頃、８人の兄がいたせいなのか、男の子が好きそうな本ばかり読んでいました。主に恐竜やサバイバル本を大量に。(^^;

恐竜の本を読みまくったのは、トリケラトップス、ステゴサウルスとアンキロサウルスが好きだったから。なんとなく小型戦車っぽいところ魅力を感じたかも。(^_^)

…でもなぜ子供の私がサバイバル本に手を出してしまったんだろう？島暮らしの私は、海しか見てなく、山でのキャンピングやアウトドアに憧れてた部分があったかも。それと、両親がどうやって戦争を生き抜いたことをよく聞かされていたから「自分がもし親の立場にあったら、どうすれば生き延びれるんだろう？」と考え始めたかもしれませんね。そして、いつの間にか図書館や書店にあった全てのサバイバル関連の本を読み尽くしたのである。(^^;

それ以降、恐竜の本は読まなくなりましたが（テレビの恐竜特集などには未だ釘付けですけど）、今でもサバイバル本を見るとついつい読んでしまうクセが抜けません。今回もコレを買ってしまいました。懐かしい知識が多く、良い復習になりました。(^_^)

Me love survival books.
When I was a kid, being surrounded by 8 brothers might have influenced me, but for some reason, I liked books that boys would usually like. I read tons of dinosaur and survival books. (^^;

I read a bunch of dinosaur books because I liked Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Ankylosaurus. I may have been drawn to them because they looked like little tanks. (^_^)

...But I wonder why I started reading survival books? Part of the reason might be because I only saw the ocean during my childhood, but wanted to camp outdoors in the mountains or something. Another reason might be because my parents always talked about how they survived the war, so I wondered what I'd have to do to survive if something like that ever happened to me. Before I knew it, I went to libraries and bookstores and read every single survival book out there. (^^;

Since then, I stopped reading dinosaur books (but I am fixated to the TV when a dinosaur feature is on), but I still have a habit of reading survival books. Recently, I bought this one. A lot of the tips and techniques in there were pretty nostalgic, so it was nice to review them once again. (^_^)
