awesome statue...

Visited Date Masamune.

Since it was a rare 3-day weekend, I visited a friend up in Sendai.

...We ended up doing the typical touristy thing of eating gyutan (cow tongue), dipping in an onsen, and seeing the Date Masamune statue. But it was really refreshing and a lot of fun. (^_^)

The city was quite lively, but seeing a few areas which were still scarred by the earthquake and tsunami tore my heart. I chose to be a tourist this time to try to contribute to the efforts in some way. The road to recovery is long, but ganbare Tohoku! We're here to support! (>_<)
