引きずり込まれるの術…

最近アメリカで流行りまくってるフェイスブック（Facebook）のソーシャルコミュニティサイト。前の仕事の同僚たちの間で話題になってたみたいで、何度も入会を勧められたが、私はマイミクやマイスペース（MySpace）もほとんど触っていない状態だったので、これ以上アカウントを増やすまいと思ってたから、今まで断ってきたんです。だって、このはてな（Hatena）のブログすらもタイムリーに更新できないんだもん。(>_<)

しかし･･･沖縄への転勤早々、超能力か何か分かりませんが、それを察知した高校の同級生らがいっせいに私へメールをしては、半強制的にフェイスブックに入会してくれと誘われました。一人だったら断りやすいが、三日もしないうちに次から次へと招待メールが来てしまい･･･とうとう深い、暗い、暗黒の世界へと引きずり込まれてしまいました。(T_T)

新しいアカウントを開設するのは毎度面倒くさいが、10年以上も連絡取れなかった同級生らと再会できて、ある意味良かったです。みんな（私を含む）高校の頃の面影がバッチリ残ってて、懐かしい！(^_^)

それに、一人思い出すと、次の人も思い出す。人間の脳みそってスゲーな。あと、大半の同級生は私のように体重が増えてて、変な親近感を感じてしまった。年と共についてくる贅肉は落とせないみたいですね。(^^;

さ〜て、このブログもそうですが、フェイスブックの更新もこれから大変になるかも。ヤベー。(T_T)

Dragged into it...
Seems like the current fad in the States is another social community site, Facebook. At my old workplace, everyone was talking about their Facebook site and tried to make me join it, but since I barely even touched Mixi or even MySpace anyway, I didn't want to add yet another account, so I kept declining the invites. Think about it -- I can't even update this Hatena blog in a timely manner, so what makes them think I can handle another site? (>_<)

But... as soon as I transferred to my new job in Okinawa, they must have ESP or something, but my old high school classmates must have sensed my arrival to the island, because a whole slew of them emailed me and half-coerced me into joining Facebook. It would have been easy to turn down just one person, but within 3 days, they threw a bunch of email invites my way... so I finally got dragged into the deep, dark, abyss... (T_T)

It's pretty tedious to setup any new account, but I was able to reconnect with friends I haven't seen in over a decade, so I guess it all worked out for the better. It was really nostalgic to see all the familiar faces that really haven't changed much (like me)! (^_^)

And, when I remembered one person, another person pops up. The human brain is quite amazing. Also, I was able to relate to a good portion of my classmates who gained weight over the years like me. I guess it's hard to fend off the extra fat that comes with age. (^^;

Well, it's gonna get tougher to update my blog AND Facebook from now on. What did I get myself into? (T_T)
