manga giant and his creations...

余談ですが、沖縄テレビOTV)の取材陣がウロウロしてて、我々が唯一の外人カップルだったせいか、すぐに目をつけられて、宣伝用にと撮影された。結局、旦那と二人でカメラに向かい、笑って手を振りながら「楽しかったで〜す!」と言うハメに。宣伝用CMが完成しても、観たくないよ、絶対に…あははん。(-_-;

Visited the Tezuka Osamu Exhibit.
Today, I went with my hubby to the "Tezuka Osamu Exhibit" at the Urasoe City Museum in Okinawa. (^_^)

Details: Urasoe City Museum - Tezuka Osamu Exhibit

The exhibit had stuff from Tezuka-sensei's early years, and his accomplishments in the manga and anime industries, which were very informative and insightful. I was particularly interested in his methods and techniques of creating manga and anime, though.

There are probably many different ways to draw manga, but Tezuka-sensei, when drawing the roughs, placed the words on the page before drawing in the characters. D-oh, I was doing the opposite because I drew stuff before placing the words. Maybe that's why my pages tended to be crowded? (*_*)

...Okay, I'll try out Tezuka-sensei's method next time. My art skills won't change much, but I'll try anyway! (>_<)

On a different note, the Okinawa Television (OTV) crew was lurking around, locked onto us because we were the only foreign couple there, and took a clip of us for promotional purposes. My hubby and I ended up smiling, waving our hands, and saying, "It was fuuun!" to the freaking camera. Hell if I'm going to watch the completed version of the TV commercial, ever... arr. (-_-;
