今回の発音違いシリーズ第３回は、アメリカ人のなぜか苦手な「Yokosuka」（横須賀）の発音です。普通に「ヨコスカ｣とは発音できず、どうしても「ユクースカ」や「ヤクースカ」になっちゃう、とても不思議な現象です。そしてなぜか一番ひどい発音をするのは、横須賀基地所属の水兵の皆様です。現地に住むと発音が狂うのかな？(*_*)

正しく発音するコツは「コ」を伸ばして強調することです。「ヨコースカ」と。日本語の発音はそんなに難しくないはずなので、正しく発音できるよう、頑張ってください。(^_^)
Yokoska?
Mispronunciation Series Part 3 -- "Yokosuka". For some reason, Americans have a hard time pronouncing "Yokosuka" (Yo-ko-ska) and mispronounce it as either "Yu-kuu-ska" or "Ya-kuu-ska" -- a very strange phenomenom. And the worst offenders of them all are the Sailors who are stationed in Yokosuka Naval Base. I wonder if their pronunciations get worse when living there? (*_*)

The tip to pronouncing it correctly is to lengthen and emphasize "ko-" and say "Yo-koh-ska". It isn't too hard to pronounce Japanese words, so please do your best to say it correctly. (^_^)
