「パトレイバー」一気読み。

パトレイバーのアニメは少しずつ観てますが、マンガはついつい全巻一気読みをしてしまいました。何度読み返しても飽きないマンガって良いね。(^_^)

絵もシンプルかつ個性的で、好きです。どんなに絵が上手くても、ゴチャゴチャしたのはあんまり好きじゃないし、今風な絵でも、どこにでもあるような感じでは味気無いし。自分も絵を描いてる時に、シンプルかつ個性的な絵を目指してるので、古臭いかもしれませんが、良い味を出せると思うんです。…とか言いながら、私の画力は全然発展途上なんで、えらそうなことは言える立場ではないですけど。(^^;

最近から翻訳業を減らしてる理由は、自分の「マンガ家」である自覚を目覚めさせるためだったりします。で、そのために手持ちのマンガやアニメを観賞しながら原点に戻る努力をしております。絵を描くのって楽しくてしょうがない。(^_^)

I'm watching Patlabor anime a little at a time, but I blasted right through manga in one sitting. I love re-reading good, solid manga which you can never get bored with. (^_^)

I really like simple, but distinct art. Regardless of whether the art is well-drawn, I don't like it cluttered, and even if it is drawn in the current style, if it looks like everything else out there, it's bland. When I draw my stuff, I try to go for the simple and distinct look, which may be out of style or something, but I strive to add some sort of flavor to it. Of course, my art skills are still in the developing stage, so I'm not in a position to knock other people's stuff... (^^;

One of the reasons I'm laying off on my translation gigs is so that I could ressurect the "manga artist" in me. In order to do that, I've begun consuming all the manga and anime in my house, going back to my roots. Drawing manga is so darn fun. (^_^)
