ミススペル。

上層部からのメールの題名に、いきなり単純なミススペルがあった。秘書や下っ端が出したのならまだしも、重役本人が出したメールだったんで、ビックリでした。あと、麻生総理も結構漢字を読み間違えるらしいんですが、上に行けば行くほど忙しすぎて語学に気を使わなくなるんですかね？ミススペルが多すぎると通訳・翻訳者にとっては致命的ですが…まー、人間誰だってミスするから、仕方ないんですけど。(^^;

Misspelling.
In an email from higher up, there was a simple misspelling in the subject line. If it were the secretary or lower level staff, it's kinda expected, but it was surprising to see an executive make such a mistake. Also, it seems like PM Aso misreads kanji every once in a while, but I wonder if one gets too busy to mind language basics as they go further up the ladder? Of course, chronic misspellings can ruin a translator/interpreter's career... but I suppose all humans make mistakes, so it can't be helped. (^^;
