YAWARA!DVD到着。

先日、やっとYAWARA!のDVDボックスセット１が到着しました！早速英訳のスタッフリストを確認しましたが…ん？どこに行けば出るの？と思いましたが、メインメニューの一番下に行けば「AnimEigo」の小さい文字があったんで、そこをクリックしてようやくたどり着きました。２ページ目にクリックしたら、私の名前が「Original Translation」（翻訳者）としてでっかくドーンと載ってました。エヘ。(^-^)

私がこのボックスセットで実際に英訳したのは５話〜４０話です。あ〜、歌も柔ちゃんも昔の絵柄も…何もかもが懐かしい。ついでに当時、必死に翻訳していた苦学生としての思い出も一緒によみがえりました。３０円でどうやって２週間をやり過ごすか悩んでたあの甘酸っぱい思い出です。でもあの頃の苦労が今の充実感に繋がるんですね。人生って不思議ですね。(^_^)
Yawara! DVD box set arrived.
The other day, the Yawara! DVD box set 1 finally arrived! I immediately looked for the credits, but... hm? Where is it? I eventually noticed "Animeigo" in small font at the very bottom of the main menu, and finally got to the English staff credits page. On the second page, my name was listed under "original translation" in big letters. Woohoo. (^-^)

I actually translated episodes 5-40 in this box set. Ahh, the song, Yawara-chan, and the older art style... everything was so nostalgic. On top of that, all the memories of me struggling through translations as a poor, suffering college student also came back to me. You know, those bittersweet memories of wondering how to live through 2 more weeks with just 25 cents in your pocket. But I suppose all the sacrifices in the past led to my current sense of satisfaction now. Life is strange. (^_^)
