アメリカ以外の特殊部隊モノ。

米軍特殊部隊のことはだいたい分かるんですが、ヨーロッパの特殊部隊とかはあまり知らないんで、関連DVD作品を少し観ました。

１）「SAS英国特殊部隊」シーズン１−４…面白い！(>_<)
それぞれのキャラも個性あふれてるし（様々なアクセント含む）、部隊の運用と装備を上手くストーリーに入れてます。途中、チームのほとんどがメンバーチェンジされたのは驚きでしたが、新メンバーも良い味出してるんで、私的には全然OKです。つい注目してしまうのは女性兵士なんですが、前半のキャロラインのセクシーかつカッコイイ女性将校のイメージと、後半のベッカの男顔負けの実力と淡々と仕事をこなすところが好きです。(^_^)

２）「ロシア特殊部隊スぺツナズ」は…お茶目！(^o^)
ごついロシアの兄ちゃん達は、仕事をしている時はストイックでくそマジメだけど、オフタイムでふざけ過ぎてるところが面白い。特に、野原での銃撃戦を終え、敵が残ってないかと見回る際に車で通りかかった観光客のオバちゃんたちに「映画の撮影ですよ」とごまかし、ワケのわからん踊りをした場面はアホ過ぎて好きです。予算がほとんどかかってないB級的な作りも良い感じです。(^o^)

３）ドイツの対テロ特殊部隊「スペシャルユニットGSG9」シーズン１−２…何じゃこりゃ？(T_T)
キャラの紹介もないまま、いきなりストーリー突入したと思ったら、もう終わってた第１話。そこからは毎回テロ事件があり、毎度人質が取られ、なぜかチームリーダーが人質を前に「わかった、銃をおろすから」とすぐ銃をおろす悪いクセがある…まぁ、人の命が関わるから多少分かるけど、ちょっと理解に苦しむ。冒頭のナレーションで「精鋭部隊」と言いながら、毎回自主的武装解除すると説得力ないかも。装備とか多少のテクが紹介されますが、好きになれるキャラよりはイラっとくるキャラの方が多いし、全体的にいまいちな作品です。(-_-;
…さて、次はどの作品みようかな？(^_^)

Non-US special unit shows.
I have some knowledge of the US Special Forces in general, but wasn't too familiar with special forces in Europe, so I watched a few DVDs. (^_^)

1) British SAS "Ultimate Force" seasons 1-4... awesome! (>_<)
All the characters had distinct personalities (including various accents), and the different types of operations and special equipment were weaved into the story well. During the series, most of the team members changed out, but the new characters were interesting also, so I was OK with the switches. I always focus on the female charactes, but in first half of the series, I loved Caroline's sexy and cool officer persona, and in the latter half, I admired Becca's manly proficiencies and no-shit work attitude. (^_^)

2) Russian "Spetsnaz"... silly fun! (^o^)
It was interesting to see the bulky Russian guys do their missions in a stoic and serious manner, yet they totally goof around off-duty! For example, right after a gunfight, they scan the area for any remaining enemies, but when a car full of granny tourists swing through, they claim that they're "filming a movie" and do a funky dance -- so corny and hilarious! I also like the apparent low-budget and B movie feel. (^o^)

3) German Federal Police counter-terrorist unit "GSG-9" seasons 1-2... WTF? (T_T)
The story jumps right in without any character introductions, and before you know it, episode 1 is over. After that, there's always a terrorist group, who takes hostages, and for some reason, the team leader has a bad habit of saying, "Okay, I'll put it down," and always lowers his weapon (of course, I understand the sensitive nature of handling hostage situations, but come on). The opening narration states that GSG-9 is an "elite troop" but it's not convincing to see one of them voluntarily disarming themselves in every episode. There are some info on equipment and techniques throughout the story, but there were more irritating characters than likeable ones, so overall, this series is a minor disappointment. (-_-;

...So, what should I watch next? (^_^)
